On his late-game role: "I'm going to miss Ben a lot. He took a lot of pressure off me. I hope I'm the [late-game] guy now. I missed a lot of them last season. But I hope I learned from them."
On the Bulls' 2009-10 season: "We're going to be good. We just have to compete while we're out there and not think about the pieces we lost. Playoffs are the main goal. You want to get better each year. We want to get past the first round and get to the championship."
On becoming more vocal: "It's real important. But Kirk [Hinrich] is a leader. Lindsey [Hunter] never shuts up. But Lindsey is going to make me talk. I'm glad he's back."
On whether he'd help recruit free agents like Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh in 2010: "I can't recruit nobody. But I would love if they came to my team. All of them are stars and veterans who can help us. I hope they want to play with me because of my game and not because I came up to them. But it's up to them."
I like that he's hoping that he is the late-game guy now and he expect a better next season. He wants more and isn't afraid of taking the responsibility. This is good.
He definitely can lead the Bulls.
