Minny - Memphis blockbuster deal

Minny - Memphis blockbuster deal

Postby Stealthindian on Fri Jun 27, 2008 12:04 am

OJ Mayo's short lived time in Minny is gone. He is officially a member of the Memphis grizzles

This is how it went down

Grizz get:
OJ Mayo
Antoine Walker
Marko Jaric
Greg Buckner

Wolves get:
Kevin Love
Mike Miller
Brian Cardinal
Jason Collins

WHY!!! OJ Mayo i believe is the best NBA ready player out there. Why trade him He is going to run your offense and make you much better. Minny keeps going down hill after trading Brandon Roy away a couple seasons ago.

Well...I like it a lot more on the Wolves end, but I can't say it's a great deal for either team really.

I like it for the Grizz, Conley/Mayo/Gay. That will be the best perimeter trio in the NBA if they can stay together a couple seasons from now.

I don't get this on Timberwolves part. They draft a combo guard who's able to play SG and PG, and is complementary to Jefferson, they could be an inmense duo for years to come. Now they trade Mayo for a poor mans Jefferson. :man3:

Well Wolves get a lights out shooter in Miller, and a nice piece to pair alongside Big Al in the low post. They still have Foye who if can stay healthy is a pretty nice combo guard to have on that team, and Miller should allow Foye to remain at one spot and not be thrown around all season.
