still I agree with the ratings 1-6 and the top 3 can go in any order IMO and you can't be considered wrong.

Wilt's not even a close second IMO, Russell has the numbers, the rings, and if youve ever seen an old Bill Russel game, or highlight, you can even see there how incerdibly dominant he was.

Both are greats, but saying no doubt one is better than the other.. foolish.

As much as i despise Kareem, the dude could play.
he is in the middle between the two IMO.
His stats are really great and he has a fistful (plus 1) of titles.
he's not better statistically than Wilt, he has less titles than Bill.
He does have more MVP's than either and was able to play longer and be productive.
So I could see some arguing (in fact I have seen it) that he is the greatest of all time.
ESPN seems to think so.

I don't disagree that Russell could be considered #1 but to say things like "no question" and "Wilt's not even a close second" is kinda silly as his numbers go well beyond scoring, which is what everyone notices first.
