I really like Brook Lopez..hes doing terrific in the Summer League thus far and was doing great in what is one the best NCAAB conferences in the Pac-10 with USC, Arizona and Washington in it. He also did very well against others like the Big East so i think this season could be a good one for him. His brother isnt bad either and i think is a better defender then Brook. Perkins played exceptionally well in the playoffs especially against Pistons with that 18pts 16reb performance, so his future is looking pretty bright also. Joakim needs to work on his offense a bit i think and his actions off the floor and i think he should be alright after that hes a decent rebounder and a great defender(1 stl and 1 blk in 20 mins).
I do hope that Lopez starts this season for the Nets. He has the potential to be a great center. He probably won't be elite but he could be an All-Star for a several years. I did like what he said about focusing on defense during the draft. That type of attitude will help him get lots of minutes early on.
Kendrick Perkins has had a lot to learn over the years. He's changed so much since coming into the league. Now he has finally found his true niche with these last playoffs. I think no one benefited more from the playoff experience than him. he truly became a difference make. when he played, the inside gets shut off defensively. that's one of the major factors that led to the championship win over the Lakers. his defense on Gasol, took Gasol out of games. he just seems to be at a different level of play than he has in the past.
Joakim Noah will never become good offensively until he learns how to shoot the ball. I'm not sure if Chicago is the right place for him. that team does not seem interested in putting their players in the best situation to win. every year they add redundant talent instead of complementary talent. without an inside scorer, Noah may have a very difficult time. the Bulls made a huge mistake take Rose over Beasley.
