Laker Nation is doing everything they can to put their foot forward and let Laker management know that they mean business. After a quick start to the season, the Lakers tailed off due to injuries and a sudden lack of defense and team chemistry. Now even Kobe has stepped forward to say that changes are needed and Laker Nation is hoping those changes involve the acquisition of Kevin Garnett (GetGarnett.com, started by hZm and LD2K of ClubLakers)Leave it to the Laker faithful to not sit back and allow that to happen as Kobe’s continues to play surrounded by subpar talent. Sound familiar? We have our own Kobe situation here in Boston. Are we wasting away Pierce’s best years surrounding him with young players loaded with “potential”?

So who’s up for starting up a GetGasol or Get(insert name here) on behalf of the Celtics? If you ask me, this would could have been a fun venture earlier in the year. You know people would have checked out GetIverson.com or GetOden.com a few months ago. We could have tossed in a little tanking flash game, where you sabotage Pierce’s sneakers so that he injures his leg, or mess with Jefferson’s shoes so he sprains his ankles or comes down with other mystery injuries. What’s that you say? Those things all ready happened and we’re still not guaranteed the #1 pick? Time to start searching the web for Grizzlies fan sites and figure out what they did right to get the Grizz to play so poorly. You’d think our terrible losing streak would have taken care of it, but not only could we not win games this year, we could even successfully tank! Just another bit of unfulfilled potential!
The way this year has gone we’re going to end up with the 18th pick in the first round, or some other ridiculously poor pick. At least we can cheer on Oden when the Grizz bring him to town next year. Maybe we’ll chant MVP for him too!
Sound off in the Boston Celtics Forums!

appears as: GetGarnett.com attracting a lot of attention...can we learn from the Lakers?
