Gerald Green nailed all his dunks and finished with a perfect 10 on his last dunk to win the Slam Dunk Contest at All Star Saturday Night.
His first dunk was a pass off the side of the backboard (from Pierce). His second was a tribute to Dee Brown and was the best dunk. He pumped up his sneakers and took off his #5 jersey to reveal a #7 and then Pierce came out with a cardboard cut out of Nate Robinson. Nate made a classy move and stood in for the fake Nate and that made the dunk even better. Gerald then hid his eyes a la Dee Brown as he sailed over Nate. This was his best dunk of the night. His first dunk in the finals was an alley oop from Pierce over the shot clock and his final dunk was a windmill dunk over a table for a perfect score of 50.
I am so happy for Gerald and hopefully this will build his confidence and help him to speed up his development as an all around player. He represented the Celtics very well tonight and made us all proud. Celtic Pride is back in Boston!!
