Larry Hughes isn't exactly a player I'm infatuated with, but he doesn't fit with Cleveland, and Wally doesn't fit with Boston. Both have similar contracts, Hughes' has one more year on it than Wally's.
Hughes for Wally and #32 seems like an even trade for both teams.
Boston gets a veteran player to keep Pierce somewhat satisfied. They also get a guy who can play either guard spot and who plays tough defense. Cleveland gets one-year closer to relief and a great outside shooter to pair with LeBron James' excellent driving and passing ability. As compensation for Wally's injury proneness, the Cavs also get a solid draft pick when they need one most and don't have one of their own. This is a deep-ass draft, so an early second round pick isn't anything for Stephen A. Smith to put his Cheese Doodles away for.
The other possibility is a sign & trade for Rashard Lewis in which the C's send Theo Ratliff to Seattle.
Hell, they could do both of these trades now that I think of it...not very long-term financially smart to do so, but hey...it's time to get desperate. |

Cleveland has finally figured out what to do with Hughes as he's playing PG for the team and doing fairly well in the playoffs.
Rashard would be a good add, so long as we dump 1-2 swingman either to trade for Lewis or to pick up a back up banger for the PF/C posistion as Paul and Rashard are gonna start, putting Delonte, Allen, Green, Gomes and Wally on the bench.
at least Delonte can play back up PG. |

Yea Id rather not have Hughes, IMO the last thing the Celtics need is another indecisive combo guard. _________________
