Lakers Thinking Trade?

Rumors are circulating that the Los Angeles Lakers are in heavy trade talks with an undisclosed team. Sources say General Manager Rayboi is not satisfied with the team's performance and is looking for a considerable upgrade. Although the Lakers now sit in the 3rd seed in the West and 5th overall, the coaches and managers believe this team has no reason to be anything less than 1st.

"We have a great group of players on this team. They are all extremely talented, and led by Kobe and Gasol, there is no reason to lose any games whatsoever" GM Rayboi said. "With the collapse of the Boston Celtics and the gradual decline of several teams such as the Spurs, Suns, and Pistons in the works, we have reason to believe that we can be serious contenders for the next few years. This deal, if it goes through, will guarantee even more that we will be legit contenders for the next few years at the very least."

There is very little to no news on what the actual deal involves. The only information we have is that it will be a major change to the look of this team. It will address many if not all of the problems the team faces. It will help them defensively and will give them more athleticism. The Lakers are said to lose several of their role players in this deal, but people knowledgable of the deal think it is well worth it.

The Lakers will be including a lot of cash and some draft picks in the deal, and the terms of the deal are very near completion. The other team's GM has what will probably be the final offer on the table, but sources say the GM is fond of the deal and helped come up with a lot of it himself. Time will tell whether the rumors come through or not.
