The hottest rumor now comes from a poster on RealGM who has been checked out by the mods as a reliable source with ties to the team.

For Celtic fans the most important thing from that piece is that Atlanta wants Brandon Wright which is 100% true. I told you that yesterday. Why is that important to us? Well Atlanta still feels Conley Jr. is the best PG in the draft and still would like to have him as there PG of the future.
They have a tentative agreement with Boston, that if Conley Jr. falls to Boston at 5. Boston will draft Conley Jr. who will then ship Conley Jr to Atlanta along with Theo and maybe another player for Joe Johnson and the #11 pick.
So Celtics fans should actually be looking at pick #11 to see who will be there for the Cs at #11. The player Danny Ainge really like is in draft is Florida State’s PF Al Thornton. If Danny Ainge can pull off a trade that would land him Joe Johnson from Atlanta and Al Thornton it would be a successful draft. |

Wait...so the C's are looking at who?!...I hope its not Conley
IMO he's not the best PG in the draft, Id take Javaris Crittenton over him in a second. _________________

I don't think you read that at all Mike.
The C's would draft Conley and trade him to Atlanta with Theo and another player for Joe Johnson and #11.
I don't see anyway Atlanta actually does that trade, but whatever...that'd be a sweet deal for the C's and would likely kill all anti-Danny talk for at least awhile. Getting a premier multi-dimensional player for 6 spots in a draft, their expiring contract and another player? Only way that's terrible is if the other player they give up is Al Jefferson. It'd be "not a great trade at all" if the other player was Gerald or Perk. |

I don't really know why they'd give up JJ for just Theo, a pick, and MAYBE another player.Seems too good to be true. Gotta give a little to get usualy.
I'd do Wally, Gomes, and the pick for it. I mean that seems to me like a better deal for them. And I'm anti wally, and like gomes but I mean we are stacked with young guys anyway. I have no problem cutting him loose.
Rajon
Joe Johnson
Paul Pierce
Al Jefferson
Kendrick or a new face via trade\draft. . .Or if its a new face, it can be a PF and shift Al to Center. |

it'd be great to swing that deal so long as al, paul rondo and green are not involved.
the #5 pick is very nice pick let's not forget
JJ could run some point too if Allen is healthy and Green's game matures. |

Ben, the Hawks want THEO. They actually need him to play (the C's do too, but apparently they're fine getting rid of him). They're familiar with Theo and Theo would probably like to go back to Atlanta. They have plenty of swingmen, they have no use for Wally.
The only issue is that Wyc will have to pay the luxury tax to re-sign Jefferson. |

Wyc doesn't have any problem paying the luxury tax though. _________________
