Just read this on Rotoworld:

The Pistons have reached a tentative agreement with the Nuggets to trade Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess in exchange for Allen Iverson.

Whoa.

Jep hearded it too. They also say McDyess will not remain in Denver. He's a great pick-up for any contending team

I don't think it was a good move by Denver.

Maybe, you now have a very talented PG handling the spot. You can put JR Smith at the 2, he will be getting a lot of open looks now

Even with Billups, I just don't see them being a contender this season. Iverson is expiring I believe while Billups still has quite a few years left.

Not a great move for a rebuilding team.

Great trade for the Pistons though, they still have a shot at a title plus they get cap relief.

indeed, they will have abput 30M or more in cap space in 2010, with only their youngsters under contract. Wade, Bosh.... Wouldn't look bad on that team.

it seems to me that Denver must think that they'll have a contending caliber team. After this trade they have very limited flexibility. The Pistons should be very good this season and have a great future cap situation as well as good young talent.

Denver will win less than 40 games this year, I garuntee it. Their frontcourt defense is almost as bad as the Bucks.

I like this move for both. Denver now has a guy in the backcourt who plays D, I dunno what they do with McDyess but he could be a good pickup if they don't buy him out. Pistons get some serious cap, they knew they weren't going to beat the celts, Sheed's play against KG killed em last season.

McDyess has stated that if he's not bought out he will reitre. If he is bought out after 30 days he'll probably resing with Detroit.
