Telfair, Scalabrine to Cleveland for Eric Snow
-C's get vet point guard, Cavs clear good chunk of salary with a chance the Telfair clicks with Gibson and LeBron.

#5, Szczerbiak to Atlanta for #11, Wright, Zaza, A. Johnson
-C's unload salary for 08/09, stay in the lottery and fill out their roster. Atlanta gets Conley and a deadly shooter if Wally Z can stay healthy.

don't need to give up the #32 to get Lewis.
Lewis can't play the 4. He' 6'10" and he isn't strong enough (or interested enough) to defend PF's. His rebounding is pedestrian for his size. He's a scorer and that's it. (much like Ray Allen.. hmm no wonder they can't win in Seattle)
He'll boost the teams scoring and I'm not sure he can do much else.
That said If we can get him for 40 cents on the $ then it'd be a good trade.
Gimme Joe Johnson or Marion first though, they're both way more versatile players.

Eric Snow is D-U-N. He's breaking down big time and cannot keep up with 8 outta 10 guards in the league anymore.

Getting rid of wally would be nice, but giving up the #5 to do it for an outside shot at a good player is not so nice. The player we get back are bench filler, something the team has plenty of IMO.

and unfortunately, rumor has it Green's stock is rising (possibly to Milwaukee or Charlotte)

If we get Lewis, he plays the 3, Paul plays the 2. That or we get creamed on the Boards. Green gets buried further down the bench too.

it's a good idea to get a back up vet. just don't think Snow has anything left to offer though.

Actually, the C's operated best last year when they had 3 3's (Wally, Green, Pierce), Rondo and Jefferson/Perkins. The C's can go big easily with the players on that roster when they need to.

Rashard's defense definitely is horrible and the style of ball they'd play isn't my cup o' tea, but I'm willing to accept it. 3 players on the court that can drain from long distance, 4 that can take it to the hole at any given moment and 1 All-Star big man with Hakeem-like post moves...

Lewis is not a good rebounder because he plays behind the arc a lot, but he does have good hands and is a pretty good low-post player on offense when needed there.

Snow definitely is not very good and never really was, but he should help Rondo and even if he sucks, Anthony Johnson isn't a bad option as the primary backup.

At #11, there are A LOT of players that will be available. They could end up with Crittenton, Nick or Thad Young, Julian Wright, Spencer Hawes, Al Thornton, Stuckey, Byars, Law, heck even I wouldn't mind if they ended up with Noah at #11... This draft class is DEEP.

The thing with trading back is that at #5, they should get someone that will help right away, but if they make those trades, they don't need someone right away and can afford to take another developmental type (hopefully a lot further along than some of their other picks).

Again, I'm more of a fan of defensive basketball because sometimes the offense just doesn't work, but you can always play tough defense. But these trades put a team together that will make deep playoff runs and be able to continue to develop the core youngsters and be damn good for a long time.
