Ok guys....you know what time of year it is. Selection Sunday is coming up and the brackets will be set.
So we're going to have a ClubCeltics challenge to see who puts together the best bracket.
I've set up a group on yahoo
Go to this page...
http://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/men/register/joinprivategroup
Our group ID # is 24215
password is larrylegend
The password might be case sensitive, and notice there is no space between larry and legend.
Join up and we'll see who wins it all!
Let me know if you have any trouble signing up. You'll need a yahoo account, which is free if you don't all ready have one. Oh and please make your bracket name the same as your username here on CC. That way we know who is who, since some people's Yahoo ID might be different than their name here.
We are limiting signups to registered members on these forums since we may have a prize for first place (stay tuned) _________________

Lets not announce it to random people until I send out an email to all of our ClubCeltics members. I'm waiting to find out about some possible other prizes first. I'd hate to have prizes available just to have them won by random non-Celtics fans.
If you know Celtics fans that aren't a member of this board feel free to let them know, but they need to sign up here to be eligible for the Challenge. _________________

If not too many people sign up I can bring some people over from Celtics247, I wouldnt post it, but a few people might be interested that I know. Probably best to wait until we see how many people already signed up here wanna participate. The prize should draw some not so frequent posters back to the boards. _________________

I completely understand it should be members of club celtics first and foremost.
I was just offering a 'just in case' suggestion |

Some guy on ESPN said that my BC Eagles might miss the tourny?!?!....
That guy needs to be fired now. Doesnt he know the Eagles always make the tourny..and get knocked out almost immediately. _________________

Anyone know who JEREMY is that signed up? If you do, or if you are him and reading this, you need to change you bracket name on there to match your username on these forums or I'll have to delete your entry. Only active members of these boards can be in the Challenge since a prize is being offered. _________________

it's not me
I haven't really paid attention to college ball that much at all this year.
coverage here in Canada sucks and I can't be checking the scores online all the time, too many conferences to follow.
I'm a dead duck in the fantasy league |

Not knowing much is more of an advantage! Anything can and does happen in the tournament. If you think you know who is gonna come through you're usually wrong! _________________

Yea in about 10 years of doing these bracketts Ive picked a total of 1 winner. Ive had alot of elite 8..not so many final four picks. Theres always 1 or 2 underdogs that shock everyone. _________________

Yeah, the only time I ever picked the winner was back in 2003, or whenever it was that Syracuse won it all.
Definitely won the competition with my roommates at the time. None of them had Syracuse winning more than 2 games. _________________

George Mason knocked out about 3 of my teams last year. I just remember ESPN and everyone talking about how great of a story it was for the school and the fans, and I cringed everytime I watched one of their guards knock down a three. _________________

I've done quite horribly online.
In HS we had an auction of the all 64 teams. I got to the final four one year and followed that up with a win when UNLV thumped rotten old DUKE
I made it down to Syracuse to see them beat #3 Pitt the year Mello was playing with them.
31,000 were there, it was insane! My wife was totally in shock at it all. Heck we even got engaged on that trip!!
been an Orange fan ever since, but in general I find teams I like year to year. I figure you're rooting for a coach or a school you went to in general when it comes to college ball. I haven't found one to stick with being Canadian.
and although I don't follow it much, I end up reading like made between Sunday and Thursday and listen to the experts... that always kills me as I pick sleepers who lose early and my favorites get upset by sleepers.
I'm competitive (hence the Nascar fantasy pool I joined!) and it drive me nuts nuts nuts |

I have 6 fantasy b-ball teams. (4 of which have been brutalized by injuries, another was my first one and my brain was on crack or something)
2 nascar (2 diff group of friends invited me in)
1-2 football teams.
I used to do baseball, but I'm too slow picking up the sleeper/suprise players and I suck at it.
I may try one this year.. maybe not
I've also tried Golf and Hockey.
Heck I even did the UFC fantasy pick them at ufc.com |
