this makes obvious sense. glad to see Ainge thinks this way too

from cnnsi;
If Boston's draft pick is No. 1 or No. 2, the Celtics will draft Greg Oden or Kevin Durant (in that order). If it's No. 3 or lower, team sources said, they will shop it.

Yea makes alot of sense. If the C's don't get a top 2 pick then it would be a good idea to shop the pick around to teams like Memphis or Minnesota, although I was really hoping that the C's would take Durant over Oden I guess I'll just have to pray that we get the #2 and not the #1.

I think the Suns would be a pretty viable trading partner again if the C's get the #3. They have things players they won't be able to afford for much longer and they are going to want Noah.

With Atlanta's first round pick the Suns could possibly get Noah without having to trade up. My pick would be Golden State and try to work out a deal for Monta Ellis.

It depends on whether the Hawks get a Top 3 spot or not though.

I think it's more likely GS would try to peddle Baron Davis or Jason Richardson than trade Monta Ellis.

Phoenix is gonna be scary having Atlanta's pick in this years draft. Hopefully they screw it up though and take Wright.

Wright has a tendency not to run though...

where would you play Ellis?
you got Allen, Green and West to take up wing time as well as Paul and Wally.
you got Rondo and Telfair for PG.

C's need a Center or a very very talented SG or PG.
Ellis, COULD be a flash in the pan or the product of the team he plays on.
Kinda like Larry Hughes.
ie, I'm not 100% on him yet....

Ellis was rumored to be traded along with J-Rich to the Celtics earlier in the season. And right now Id play Ellis over Green. I still think Green will pan out to be a great player but Ellis is alot further ahead in his development.

this is Ellis's first big year.
I'd rather they get someone who's been playing at a high level for at least 3-4 years.
you can't say for sure if Ellis will regress or not next year...
