The Globe has two big stories. First, Wyc says that they are cutting ties with Telfair. It seems they were already going to cut or trade him and this gives them a good reason to.
Quote:
"I wanted to let you know that we have removed Sebastian’s nameplate from his locker in Waltham. The facts and circumstances of his case have not been determined but he does not have a Celtics locker and we do not anticipate that he will," Grousbeck wrote in the e-mail.

The other story is that Allen has been acquitted of all charges.... very good news.

Quote:
The Celtics' Tony Allen has been acquitted of all charges stemming from a fight nearly 19 months ago in a Chicago restaurant, according to the Globe's Peter May.

After a short trial in Chicago, Judge James Linn made the determination that the state had not made its case against Allen, who had been indicted on three counts of aggravated battery.

The decision came down around 2:15 p.m. today. Allen was present for the trial, but was not called to testify. The charges stemmed from a fight which turned into a shooting.

The prosecution charged Allen ordered one of his friends to beat up another man. He was never charged with the shooting.

Sebastian is the perfect example of why players should go to college. He had a ton of potential, but clearly he thought he was much better then he actually was. I expected him to be traded or released & it seems like this would be another good reason to get rid of him. He'll probably end up playing in the Euroleauge because I can't see any reason for an NBA team to want him.

Someone in the NBA will scoop him up IMO.

What's the latest on Allen's condition?

Danny said that he is on track to be playing by training camp. Also one of the articles said that he is walking without a limp which is good news.

Yea, Allen's game is based alot on his ability to get by guys with his first step and explode to the basket. Hopefully he comes back healthy and still has that ability. He was really becoming a lock down defender and he had developed into a pretty explosive offensive player, which would make him a HUGE asset if healthy.

I agree I think he will make an NBA squad I just wished guys like this wouldn't be picked up though. At least it looks like Bonzi will be out of the league though.

Telfair will probably end up with the Knicks, and I wouldn't be surprised if he realized at least a good portion of his potential there. Much better situation for the player than Portland or Boston - as crazy as that sounds.

And as much as I don't like Isiah Thomas, he'll be really good for Telfair as far as learning the position and Thomas has a knack for getting guys to play hard for him.
