|
|
From here on out, given that this situation is beginning to pop up more then usual, the back out fine rules have been changed.
If two GM's both post an accept in a deal, and that trade receives the requires 2 fairs to be put through, and then suddenly one of the GM backs out, the GM backing out will now be fined $2,000 GM Cash, 3 back outs in one season, and your top scorer will be moved to the team with the worst record.
The team that gets screwed by the back out will now be able to claim $5,000, while the team backing out is fined with a $2,000 fine.
Hopefully this will allow GM's to think a little more before going ahead and posting a trade. _________________

The mods need to make sure they lock a thread within a reasonably short time, that's why critter got pissed.
The deal got two fairs, it wasn't locked for hours, then the Spurs backed out. |

That's where some confusion could come up though, with me being the only one able to input the deals, if I'm not around and visit the GM Trade thread and see a bunch of locked deals, I'll usually assume that I've gotten to them already. This hasn't become a problem really until earlier today as I'm usually on the boards enough to see when a new deal is posted, but with the draft going on and FA coming up, there are going to be more deals then usual, and me not being around at all today caused the Sonics to get screwed in a deal. I'm hoping that harsher fines and the risk of loosing your top scorer is at least enough to get GM's to think about their deals before posting them. _________________

| Why be able to back out at all? If you post it and the other person agrees and posts then it should be locked. |
