NBA: Atlantic Division Power Rankings

Let's face it, the Eastern Conference's Atlantic Division is the definition of pathetic. The first place Celtic's are two games under .500, yet if the playoffs were to begin today, they would find themselves with the second seed in the East. Only three games separate first place and fourth place, and not a single team in the division looks like they are for real, but here is our breakdown, and our mid season power rankings, for the Atlantic, officially the most pathetic division in the NBA.

1.) Washington Wizards - Eventually Caron Butler and Gilbert Arenas, both averaging over 20ppg will take this team out of second in the Atlantic, and overtake the Boston Celtic's, it's not a matter of will they, it's just a matter of when. They have one of the most high powered offenses in the NBA, but also one of the worst defenses to go along with that. Nonetheless, they're the best of the worst.

2.) Boston Celtics - Josh Smith has the talent to be a legitimate superstar talent, but he's not there yet, and he probably won't be for a few years, and hopefully by then the Celtic's can shed some of these terrible contracts. Darko Milicic is playing well, and the addition of DeSagana Diop should add some even more low post defense, but this team has absolutely no production from shooting guard, and we all have a hard time believing that Marco Bellinielli will be the answer to they're offensive struggles.

3.) New Jersey Nets - Just imagine if the Nets weren't such conservative sons a bitches and agreed to send former Boston College cancer, and all around asshole, Sean Williams, to Boston? The Celtic's would have been the most athletic team in the East, but no, the Nets put their foot down and refused to give Boston Sean Williams, so they'll never make it past the first round, as they have now been placed under "The Curse Of The Leprechaun"

4.) New York Knicks - They need a GM. They need to get rid of all these fat, slow, lazy bigmen, and they need to start developing some young talent. It won't happen, and they'll continue to suck.

5.) Philadelphia 76ers - (See New York)

6.) Orlando Magic - Alright, we hate to be mean, but these guys suck, no, we mean it, you read right, they absolutely, positively suck. Just trade Dwight Howard already and load up on as much youth as positive, and get used to drafting in the lottery, because the Orlando Magic are absolute garbage.

what's really funny is that the Atlantic Division right now is the best in the NBA.

Troy Murphy is this years top candidate for water boy of the year, so you gotta give the Atlantic a little credit.
