The Celtic’s have announced the signing of free agent veteran foward, James Posey. Posey who will join a completely revamped Celtic’s roster played his last two seasons in Miami where he averaged over seven points per game to go along with just over four rebounds, and one steal per contest. Posey also played an important role for the Miami Heat’s 2006 Championship winning team as one of their key bench players. More known for his hard nose defense and ability to play either foward position, Posey should add much needed depth to the wing position, and if needed has experience playing power foward. Posey who is a career 34.6% three point shooter could also be the spark of offense that the Celtic’s looked to be lacking from their bench.
This signing was announced only days after Reggie Miller announced his decision to stay in retirement. Posey who was signed to a two year seven million dollar deal joins Eddie House and Scott Pollard as the newest addition the the Celtic’s second unit.
