The majority of Celtic's fans have been here well before Garnett and Allen were traded to Boston, so try again :man11:

Two sets of possessions really hurt the Celts.

1. When fouls were called on Pierce and KG on a single Lakers possession off marginal off-ball fouls with 3 1/2 to go.

2. No call foul/steal with Kobe with 40 seconds left

If thats a foul then every strip steal is a foul.

True. That's my point. If you call those marginal fouls a couple of minutes earlier, you have to call that one. The overall impact on the game for these calls/non-calls was HUGE.

KG's fouls were legit in my opinion...and im probably the most unbiased laker fan...

KG aint your best player...like i said earlier HE CHOKES

either way, you want a guy like leon who drives to the rim unlike KG who's a jumpshooter

most every foul is legit on some level just as all of Kobe's were legit. He really did grab Ray Ray while he was cutting. He really did elbow Ray Ray in the chest. He really did run through Pierce to contest a Ray Ray three. The key is for the refs to know when to call a foul and when not to. Nebbish calls against Pierce and KG down the stretch or to a defender on one of off ball cuts do not need to be called.

Also. KG is far and away the best player and most important player on the Celtics. He plays his game. Scoring isn't it. He does it, but he leaves Pierce and Ray Ray to do that. For him, he plays great defense and rebounds. His foul trouble left the team with just PJ as the sole player 6'8"+ on the team that could play. That's a major disadvantage beyond the fact that KG is a far and away better player than PJ and that using both at key points in the game would have been best for the Celts.

PIerce doesnt defend? He's giving kobe A LOT of trouble. of course, without KG, celtics are not contenders, and he plays great defense

the fouls called on kobe in the first of game 2 are calls that you just dont make if your a ref...KG's fouls in this game should have been called

but you know what? i say we tie all the refs up, throw away their whistles, and just play ball - they ruin the game :man10:

I say we have a three point contest to decide the series. You pick your best three and I'll pick ours, Eddie House, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen. :man10:

That's the way it's done soccer. :man10:
