West was saying that he would be back for this game but Doc didn't sound so sure. I expect Telfair to start at least for this game. Our PG play has been a weakness and Telfair needs to pick up his game and to work on defense especially against veterans like Baron Davis.

Al couldn't get his offense going in the last game between the double teams and the blocks. Hopefully he will have a strong game on both ends of the floor as we will need his offense as well as his defense.

Keys to the Game:
Offense. We shot 32% against the Clippers. We have to make our shots.

Defense. We haven't been able to get stops. We won't outscore many teams and will need to work on defense to stop the other team from scoring.

Team Play. Since Pierce went out, it seems as though each of our kids is trying to do too much by themselves. We need to play as a team instead of 5 individual players trying to win it themselves.

Run The Warriors run at every opportunity and so the Celtics will need to be ready to run with them.

Not totally on-topic, but Oracle arena is HIDEOUS from the outside. I've seen it tons of times as I went to A's games (same parking lot) and it looks too small to be an NBA Arena and is a total eyesore!

On a fun side note, for me at least. Matt Barnes went to a rival High School. We're the same age, needless to say he's made a bit more money than me since leaving high school. But that doesn't change the fact that I beat him in high school! He was actually pretty lazy in every game he played against us at least. I never would have guessed he'd go pro. It was obvious that he had a lot of talent, but he didn't seem to have that killer instinct. I guess he picked it up at UCLA.

Oh and don't read that wrong, in no way am I saying I was better than him! Not a chance.

That's really cool QuenteK25. I hope I get to play up against some future NBA pros. Right now, I'm only a sophomore so I'm playing JV.

Also played against Donte Stallworth (Philadelphia Eagles) and Onterrio Smith (no longer in the NFL due to the Whizzinator incident). Those two dudes weren't as good at bball as they were at football, but they still rocked.

I love the gameday matchups that have been poppin up...and hell that really is an ugly arena..well anyways so about the game. No Pierce No Way we win, GS is way too powerful offensivly and we just dont have the squad to keep up with them....unless AL steps up and Tony can go off again and score another 30pt game I dont see us winnin this one

We came out flat and were playing absolutely no defense and got down early. We came back in the second with some decent defense and started hitting our shots and cut the lead to 5 at the half. I hope we come out with the same energy and determination on defense after the half and we may just sneak one out.

Watching the Warriors play, I was getting very frustrated. They have a true fast break. They pass the ball quickly up court to beat the defenses and get easy baskets. Then I watch the Celtics walk the ball up the court and allow the defenses to get all set up. They played a little piece from Doc where he was saying that the Celtics like to run but not like the Warriors like to run. My question is why not? We have young athletic players who should be able to run the whole game. We should be passing the ball more and dribbling less and yet Doc has the PG dribble up the court after a made basket and after a miss. Powe could have made a difference in the game tonight. We desperately needed some toughness inside and that is exactly what Powe brings. The more I watch this team play, the more I am convinced that Doc is not coaching to win. Wally should not have shot 17 times when none of his shots were falling. Powe should have played. We should be passing more and dribbling less. When Telfair was falling down on defense, Rondo should have come in. Just a lot of little things that just don't make sense to me. I am certain that with a different coach, we would be a much better team and have a winning record.

Considering we cut the lead down and at times were competitive, I thought we looked awful. No defense and nobody but Tony Allen willing to take the ball to the basket....
