Okay before I get into the game I just wanna say two things. I am now officially drinking the Tony Allen kool-aid, and if the Celtics involve Al Jefferson in a deal to Philly for A.I they will regret it for years to come. Tony Allen had a career night tonight against Denver scoring a career high 30 points, 8 Rebounds & 3 steals. In the first half to start off the 2nd quarter he put down a huge dunk and was explosive the whole night as he played 46 minutes and started the night on 8 for 8 shooting. Al Jefferson scored 28 and brought in 10 Rebounds for another double double, and Paul Pierce dropped 38 points on Denver.
The interesting stat that sticks out to me is the Celtics has 6 players with 3+ assists. Before the game Doc said he was going to play Wally as a 6th man from now on out, which is a move I love. It will bring experience and poise to a young inexperienced 2nd unit. The C's put up they're highest scoring half of the season and the Denver Nuggets never had a lead throughout the entire game as the C's took it 117-113.
This win brings Boston to a tie in the Atlantic Division and sets their longest win streak of the season at 4. They face Charlotte in Charlotte tomorrow as they'll try to make it 5.
After seeing how the team played tonite, Im now against the idea of Iverson coming to town. Al Jefferson has finally developed into that all-star caliber big-man, and really our #2 weapon.
