Al has been getting better and better and has been a monster on the boards, which is a good thing since our starting center averages less than 2 rpg.

Game Notes
Celtics are playing the second of back to back games and 4th on their recent road game. Doc continues to insist on starting Scal at Center and this really puts our starting lineup at a disadvantage on the boards.

None

Game Notes
Jazz are also playing the second half of back to back games and were on the road last night. Carlos Boozer has been out since 1/27 with a fractured tibia and Deron Williams has been out since straining a groin muscle in the Rookie Sophomore game. Both practiced with the team on Thursday and played Friday night and are expected to play.

AK47 always plays well against us and we have to improve our interior defense.

Keys to the game
We have to defend the paint. We have been allowing too many easy baskets inside and the Jazz will take advantage of that.

We have to win the war on the glass. When we are out rebounded, we lose.

We have to come in with energy and not get into a hole and have to spend the rest of the game digging out. We also have to maintain our intensity throughout the game and not let up if we get a lead.

Defense, defense, defense. We have to get stops. We also have to play good team defense as we don't have good individual defenders other than Rondo.

Share the ball and limit turnovers.

Get a new coach.

Not sure if AK is going to play tonight. He left last nights game early and never came back...

Update to the Game Thread.

ImageOkur was a late scratch from last night's game and is questionable for tonight.

ImageKirilenko left last night's game with a bruised knee and is also questionable for tonight.

ImageWith Kirilenko questionable the player to watch would be Deron Williams who posted 26 points and 14 assists in last night's win.

Doc had a sudden epiphany last night and realized that Powe can play. He says that Powe will be getting a lot more playing time. But then again, after Powe got a few minutes last time and impressed he said the same thing and then he proceeded to keep him on the bench. He also said that Green would be getting more time just before he cut his minutes. So...
Image Powe could (and should) be a key player off the bench but with Doc you never know. I would rather see Powe start at the 4 in place of Scal but don't see it happening.

Hope you feel better soon Mike. Sorry, but not much good stuff to write about this game.

Powe started and did a great job but Doc started him in place of Gomes instead of Scal. Also, Powe picked up 2 fouls and Doc sat him and then kind of forgot about him.

Al had a great game and continues to impress and improve. He had 8 turnovers, but one of those was the fault of a bad pass to him that he couldn't possibly get and 2 were bad calls.

Doc continues to be one of the worst in game coaches in the league and although we are stuck with him the rest of the season, I am really hoping to have a different coach next season.

I hope Doc continues to play Powe. The kid has game and needs to be playing.

Good to hear that Powe is finally getting some time on the court.
