Watching two games in a row

I was at the Seattle and Portland game. We didn't have Pierce which was a bummer, but I saw things in this team I hadn't seen in quite sometime.

Jefferson put together two solid games, in the Portland game he missed some easy ones, but overall he really is coming around.

Tony Allen really is starting to look like Dwayne Wade, made good decisions, got things going, just on fire.

Gomes did all of his work quietly, I looked up at one point and I'm like 'he got 18 points? Wow. He got a double double solid as ever.

I see so much in Green, he is gonna be a stellar player someday.

While we split I am happy that there is a lot this team has to offer.

Thanks for sharing your impressions on the games. I have noticed that about Gomes also. He doesn't seem to be doing much until you look at the box score at the end. He has been struggling and I was very happy to see him turn it around last night.

Man, how did I miss this thread?

Watching a game live can definitely be deceiving cuz some guys get a lot of stuff done without a whole lot of flair.

I really saw good stuff from the team, they rallied late, they made key shots, they moved the ball, and Big Al and Tony really are coming on.

I heard that Roy was gonna make Doc look stupid for choosing Allen over Roy, wellAllen really showed me a lot of good stuff, herebounded, he drove, when he came in I thought he would be at best a solid role player, he is becoming more thna that, he had the most visible impace on the game, I think he 'could' be something special.

Doc sticking with Tony through these times shows me he's made solid decisions overall.

The Orioles went into tonight hoping to start a winning streak, that is certainly exactly what they did. They ensured a series split using the Twins as a result of a good outing from Zach Britton and very timelyRoberto Clemente white Jersey|Roberto Clemente Jersey|Pittsburgh Pirates #21 jersey hitting against Twins pitcher Nick Blackburn.
Both pitchers had quick 1-2-3 first innings, with Zach Britton retiring the side on just seven pitches. He didn't even supply a chance to settle down on my couch before he was headed time for the dugout. Nick Blackburn wasn't much worse while he only needed eleven pitches (seven which were thrown to Derrek Lee).
