Potential problem with Pierce and Green?

Potential problem with Pierce and Green?

I don't like to start potential problems, but Green is gonna be something special, he is gonna get a good chunk of playing time with Pierce out. When Pierce comes back, you're gonna have two small forwards that could be deserving of a starting job, and with Tony Allen playing one will have to go, anyone else see it?

On a side note Al Jefferson, with so little talent in the east and the way he has come on, could be considered for the All-Star game, this guy is just a gamer.

I do agree that Green is going to be special (almost willing to say very special) But I think if any of them go, it will be Allen. I would have no problem letting Green play the 2. I actually think he is better suited to play the 2 (mostly because of the light frame) As I stated in a different thread, we are teetering on a fence between Vets and youth. When we figure out which way we are going to go, then it will be easier to make the call. My call would be to trade PP, but hey that is me.

As far as Al, I really think he will be a quality starter, but as far as all-star now
Dwight Howard
Chris Bosch
Jamison and a couple others are better right now
Hopefully not for long

Like what MikeDead in the other thread said, I do think the Celtics need to move on from Pierce, he has done all he can for this team and it would benefit both in the long run...

With Pierce gone I think it would make Geralds role alot easier. It would give him at least another 10 shots a game, and more minutes. Al Jefferson wasn't looking so great when Mark Blount was around but ever since he left Al has been improving.

Not saying the Pierce and Blount's situation is the same (Mark Blount wanted to be traded and always seemed like a disruption) but maybe with Paul gone Gerlad will have a little more confidence in taking the ball to the hoop (which he needs to start doing) and step up as our #1 scorer.

A GM needs to decide whether the C's are focusing on winning now (Pierce) or building for the future (Green), I don't expect that GM will be Mr. Ainge however. A move will need to be made eventually.

If we can get some talent or some high draft picks for Pierce then I think we need to try and move him now, Im in no way saying that Green is even close to being able to score like Pierce, but its time that Green got the minutes and shots, and he wont get them with Pierce and Wally around. Id say we could try and move Wally but no one in their right mind would make a deal for him right now

Yeah, Wally is only hitting the road if he gets packaged in with Pierce.

Yea Unfortunately...I didnt like the deal when it happened and now Ricky Davis is doing pretty well for himself (Did just fine here too)...and Wally just looks awkward shooting the ball and is running around with a bad knee
