We've lost Pierce for an entire season, Tony Allen came in to replace him, damn near averaging 20ppg, and then we lose him for the season. To top it off, 2nd worst record in the NBA, longest losing streak in franchise history, and the #5 overall pick :mad1:

A. When I said taste of injuries, I meant injury during a season in which you are actually a contender, not when you are in the lottery. Injuries to lottery teams mean pretty much absolutely nothing. It doesnt really matter at all other than for the fans lack of enjoyment.

B. You are complaining about losing the lottery and getting the #5 pick when it ended up in a championship the very next season. PLEASE. No offense, but some of you celtics fans might not realize, or maybe you just choose to ignore, that if you had actually gotten the #2 pick, there is absolutely 0% chance that you would have won a championship. You would have drafted Durant, kept him, kept Al Jefferson and the rest of your young guys, and continued with your rebuilding mode. Those trades for KG and Ray would've never happened if you didn't fall to number 5. So if anything you should be grateful you fell to #5.

I know KG is out for only 2-3 weeks but I guess its better than nothing. You guys just better pray to the gods that somehow, someway in hell Bynum does 10x worse with his rehab than expected and somehow misses the playoffs again, because if he's there and we are all healthy, you guys are in trouble. It already looks like we will most likely take homecourt advantage on top of everything.

We watched Bird's back give out in the middle of a Championship run, better?

Im not that old, i was talking about more recent times i.e. this decade. Malone, Bynum, now possibly Bynum again.

a lineup of Rondo, KD, Pierce, Al Jefferson, and Kendrick Perkins would look pretty good, especially with Delonte West, Tony Allen, Ryan Gomes, Gerald Green, Leon Powe, Brian Scalabrine, and Glen Davis off the bench. Who would have picked up in this last draft? Roy Hibbert, Jason Thompson, Brook Lopez, or Robin Lopez? I'm certainly not complaining (can't argue with a championship and another coming up) but that would be one of the best teams in the East this year.

oh, rayboi .... why should we pray for Bynum to miss the playoffs? We want the championship to be especially sweet. We don't want to have settle on beating the Jazz, Spurs, or Blazers. :man10:

i am pretty sure celts fans want bynum to come back, so that the laker fans will run out of excuses if they lose again.

With Bynum back, at 100%, Laker's don't lose.

Naw. I don't care about that. Health is a part of losing. There's no excuse for the Rockets for instance to get bounced every year in the first round.

:jam2:  A celtics fan with some sense in him. You should learn from this guy Kyle.

And I have no doubt that Kevin Durant/ Pierce team would be a great team. I just feel very comfortable in saying that they would not have the experience to get anywhere close to a championship in their first two or 3 years.
