Posted this over at Clublakers so I figured Id post it here too

Just made my way over from ClubCeltics and where better to start posting then in a Oden to Boston thread. Truth is if I had my way I wouldn't draft Oden at all, Id take Durant. He seems like the better player and more versatile with where he can play. My hope is that Memphis gets the #1 and drafts Oden and we can nab Durant at #2.

As much as Id love to see the Celtics become competetive again and see this great rivalry renewed I don't think its going to happen anytime soon. The few good players we have have been way over-rated and Danny Ainge has filled our roster with 21yr old kids who still don't understand the fundamentals. You know your team is in bad shape when Ryan Gomes is considered one of your veteran leaders, and the majority of fans are placing they're faith in an inconsistent Al Jefferson. I understand our team is still very young, but after years of watching management trade away all our talent and give guys like Mark Blount and Vin Baker massive contracts that where still paying by the way, I refuse to put any faith at all in these young kids. Sure the potential is there for guys like Rajon Rondo Al Jefferson, and Gerald Green, but if these guys don't amount to above average NBA players then the Celtics are gonna be set back another 4 or 5 years.

Center: Al Jefferson
Power Foward: Kevin Durant
Small Foward: Gerald Green
Shooting Guard: Paul Pierce
Point Guard: Rajon Rondo
Off The Bench: Delonte West, Ryan Gomes

^ Given a couple years to develop and form some chemistry together these guys have a ton of potential to compete in the East, but putting all our faith in the lottery could really end up screwing us in the end.

-Ive been a C's fan for a long time, but when your team is in the midst of a 16 game loosing streak it's not hard to get excited and cheer for Kobe.

Lol, the end is the best. I don't blame anyone for cheering on Kobe that day. He is always amazing to watch.

If Big Perk gets his foot healed, I'd love to see Bynum v. Perk matchups for the next 10 years...

He looked really good prior to his foot injury being too painful. A couple months of rest and therapy will fix his foot, and if you can compare his numbers to Jermaine O'Neal's first 4 years if you want... Perk was definitely on the right track early in the year...even had his fouls way down.

J. O'Neal is definitely a great example of how poorly a guy can play to start his career just to completely turn it around later. Of course a big part of the process for O'Neal was for him to get out of Portland.

^ HAHA Yea but Im sure going to Portland didn't help his cause. Either way doesn't matter cause he's out for the entire season and he'll probably never play to the level he was again.
