I live in Austin, Texas and people here love the Texas Longhorns. Everywhere I go.....Wal-Mart, HEB, Wal-Greens, etc.....there's U.T. gear for sale, and there's a good chance when out in public, you'll see someone wearing a Longhorn shirt and/or hat.

I'm curious to know if it's the same deal in Boston for the Celtics. Like if I were to walk into a random store, would there be a section without a lot of Celtic related items for sale? And is it pretty common to see people wearing Celtic shirts or hats?

depends on the random store. if you're talking the equivalent to the stores you mentioned, then yes, you'll see Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox stuff.

Yeah, like KC mentioned, really depends on the store. Boston, up until very recently at least, has for the most part been a Red Sox town, and I'd argue that it really still is. So I think if you're browsing random stores you're more likely to find more Sox merch, same goes for people out in public wearing Sox merch.
