This is my first post to Clubceltics hello everyone.
I'm gonna start by saying that on Doc Rivers I was at one time 100 perent for him, then I wallfed a little after the season started off so badly, I don't think I will waffle again, I want to stick with Doc Rivers. One reason is obvious. Under him we have had three solid young players emerge in Tony Allen, Al Jefferson and Ryan Gomes. Part of our success belongs to Ainge for having the foresight to pick these guys up, bu young players are notoriously inconsisten,t but Doc has managed to make all of them consistent. All three of these guys not only have started consistently scoring in double figures, but thye rebound, defend, make litle plays, and show a very bright future for us. That is all Doc Rivers, this team begins and ends with him, as it does with any coach.
Celtic fans have become extremely impatient as they should be, but tonight's loss has the fire Doc crowd at it again. It was a tough loss that came down to yet another bad play at the end of the quarter by Paul Pierce. I'm not gonna scream that we should trade Pierce, but you can't blame Doc for Piere's bad decisions, and extremely good coverage by Gold State on Big Al. We have something to be proud of right now, a lot actually. Yes we're beatign a lot of bad teams, but at least we're beating somebody, which is more than we could say in years past.
My one beef with Doc will be rectified with time. Sebastian Telfair hasn't shown me much of anything. He was the centerpiece on the draft day trade, but he really hasn't done what he was supposed to. Rajon Rondo is a much better defender and playmaker, but is not getign the playing time. Rondo will emerge with time, and will be as good as any other solid young player we will put on the floor. Doc is doing a good job, I will stick with that until I see evidence otherwise is true.
